Henry Wright & Sarah Wainwright
Dear All
I am trying to find some information and if anyone can help this would be great.
My father was Arthur Wright who was born in 1917 and had 3 brothers - Thomas, Henry and John. Henry Wright
and Sarah Wright (parents). I think Henry Wright was born in 1881 and married in 1908 and died in 1920 in Creswell, Notts.
My dad always said there was a sister who died young and I think she was called Sarah not 100% sure. How can
I find details of birth and death for her and who can I find out where Sarah Wainwright died or is buried.

Re: Henry Wright & Sarah Wainwright
Have you checked http://www.freebmd.org.uk/ for birth and death certificates? Also, where in England were the Wrights living when Arthur and his brothers were born. There are many possibilities on Ancestry.com, but you need to narrow down the location. Do you have Henry's death cert.? It might tell whether Sarah Wainwright was deceased or not when he died. I'm assuming that she was Henry's wife. I'm not familiar with English death certs. so I don't know what information is on them.

Their 1908 marriage in the December quarter in the registration district of Chesterfield can be found on http://www.freebmd.org.uk
Also the births of the 3 sons you mention are to be found in the Worksop area, also Henry's death in Jun qtr 1922 age 41.
It's difficult to spot a birth to this couple before 1911 as you aren't able to search on mother's maiden name until then, so a birth and death could be there.
English death certificates don't give much information. If Sarah was the informant you'd obviously know she was still alive then but she might not have been. English marriage certificates only give the fathers' names, not both parents'.
Best wishes,
Meg

Re: Henry Wright & Sarah Wainwright
Not much help, but Ancestry.com has Henry and Sarah on the 1911 census in Worksop, Nottinghamshire. If you look at the original, it says that they had one child and that child died. Ancestry also has their marriage which says that Sarah's father was Reuben Wainwright and Henry's father was Thomas Wright. The marriage took place in Eckington, Derbyshire and the 1911 census says that they were both born in Eckington. They were living in Creswell in 1911. On the marriage register Henry is shown as widowed.

I had wondered if the 1911 census would help, now there is at least a timeframe for the missing child. And 2 possible locations.

Also, how can I find out if he was buried or cremated. Due to the day I would say he would be buried.
I know there is a cemetary in Creswell.
Thank you in anticipation.
