Returning from Australia .....

Anyone know of sources relating to the return from Australia to Scotland in 1858 of a widow after her husband had died?, i.e. passenger lists and the like.

Sorry Davie,I was looking for a return for a widow and her 2 kiddies between 1884-1889 and had no luck of any kind.Seems the Uk didn't really care who entered at that time and Australia didn't care who left.I had no luck with ships passengers lists either.
If you should get lucky please let me know.

These sites have some lists of passenger ships leaving Australia, and saw a few others while I was poking around yesterday. I've tried to backtrack to where I was when I spotted those in a tan coloured side bar down the right hand of the page - can see it plain as day, but no luck in finding it.

This is a Victorian site of departures - but only covers a short time - one link says 1852-56, the next 1852-1861 so you may be lucky

The Tasmanian archives have recently updated their online indexes and include some departures 1821 - 1867
