Hi Annette:

Further down on the page it says:
ScotlandsPeople vouchers are available in all Scottish public libraries at reduced prices.
Quite a break for those able to take advantage.

Great post, Annette!

Best wishes,
Frances

Bit confused here - is it, all Scottish Libraries, all Glasgow Libraries or just the Mitchell?

Martin & Nelson - all Liverpool
Allison, Beaton, MacLean, McLuskie & Todd.
Grant, McEwan, McLean & Syme.

Mmm - the SLIC website is totally unhelpful; their last newletter is Summer 2007. I was in my local library yesterday as well - isn't it alway the case.

It would be nice if they offered some reduced prices overseas where we have no chance of getting to the Mitrchell or any other Public Library in Scotland.

Wini
I received in my email a questionnaire from SP this morning - I suspect all SP users will be getting one of these. They ask for suggestions - why not make your suggestion to them?

Best wishes
Lesley

Ohh yes I did mine yesterday - you should Wini.

I phoned our local library (WDC) and apparently this will be a Scotland wide offer.

I was told it "should" be available in WDC around mid August.

The theory being you buy the vouchers in the library, where you can either use them there or at home on your own pooter.

Hi All,

I gave The Mitchell a phone and as far as I can gather they are piloting the scheme so at present they can only be purchased from them.

Bear in mind if you buy these vouchers you will have to open a new SP account as they are only for new users.

Regards,
Annette

Hi all,we have had this scheme in Paisley for about two yrs.
When you went to library, you paid six pounds for sixty credits, then when you top up at library its £4 90p for thirty thereafter.
Yes they do open another account for you on production of library pass, and I also got one in hubbys name.
Just means you have differents accounts with all your gen records in them.
I saw in last wks paper Barrhead were starting it,obviously cause they come under Glasgow.
Its a very good idea though,as all the savings of £1-10p all add up.
