Crewlists

Post by Steven Dougan » Sat Sep 17, 2005 2:14 pm

Hi folks,

does anyone have an idea how to find Crewlists.

I am trying to trace an Ancestor (see my other post "Looking for Dougans in Scotland and Ireland") he was a Stoker on a Steamship.

unfortunately I do not know which, where or when.

big task, I know, but maybe someone out there can give me a tip.

greetings from sunny Germany

http://www.catalogue.nationalarchives.g ... ID=257&j=1
or http://www.catalogue.nationalarchives.g ... ch.asp?j=1 this will take you staight to the Catalogue. Where it says word or phrase put your ancestors sir name then initial.

Hi Tracey,

unfortunately as a British citizen I can only vote at a local election and not the National one, I am allowed to pay Tax at a National level though :-)
