Been off for a while. Change broadband server. That chap sounds a bit like my grandfather. His 2nd wife was my gran(a Keating). He left his 1st wife and 2 kids in Dublin. Then left my gran when dad was about 6. No one knows what happened to him!!
Anyway, Will get back in touch with Mitchells to get a hold of the poorhouse record.

Hiya Annette,
Just to let you know, i received Patrick Keatings poorhouse records over the weekend. It was like winning the lottery(well not quite). There is so much info. It told me one of his sons(Robert) was in the army. Not for long i dont think, as it mentions a claim for Robert in 1910.
It seems the other son Dominick and his family have disappeared. Also noticed that his wifes mothers surname was different to the one on her death cert(now confused).
