poor house look up please Ann Galbraith ms McGougan.....

Hello
please can anyone have a look for a poor house application for
Ann Galbraith ms McGougan
Ann died in 1891 in Lochgilphead poor house Glassary
her husband John died in 1881 in Cairnbaan?parish of Glassary.
I can find no record of children for this couple
John's informant was his cousin and Ann's was the govenor of the poor house.
Ann's parents where a John McGougan & Kate ms also recorded as McGougan.

I just wondered if you had tried e-mailing the Argyll and Bute Council Archives about this as they would be able to tell you if thre were any poor relief applications surviving from this time and might be able to search for your relative. The contact is archives@argyll-bute.gov.uk

Though they have been very helpfull in the past
i think i drove the poor archivist to retirement

i will try his successor(for information)
