Jack did it again!

Does anyone know how if there would be records of patients in the Aberdeen Infirmery 1851 census?

When it was released I searched it inside out for my gg grandmother Margaret Macrae who would hve been about 17 at time. I felt sure she would have been working as a servant in Edinburgh but she was nowhere to be found. I tried Ross & Cromarty her birth place and still nothing.
Today Jack found whom we think is her in The Royal Infrmary Hospital in Aberdeen City. I wonder if there are records which I could obtain of her stay there. How would I go about this?

Hi Lizzie,
I found this info from a site called Heritage & Culture...
The records of health boards in Scotland will either be kept by the health board at one of its larger hospitals, or may be accessible through the local university. For example, Lothian Health Service Archives are found in Edinburgh University, whereas the Northern Health Service Archive is based at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Get in touch before planning a visit - you may have to make an appointment and they may not have what you need
Hope it helps,
Heather H
