Hi Flip
What exactly is it you wished us to look for?
If you have Edward's birth certificate it will give parental details.
Did the certificate say that he was born in the Poorhouse?
In most Poorhouse records you have to have the name of the person who was admitted to the institution to locate their record.
So, a little more info would perhaps assist anyone able to do a look-up for you.

Hi Flip
The reason I'm being a bit circumspect here is that normally we would ask to see a copy of the certificate on-site here to help interpret the information, but this falls within the 100 year privacy rule where the individual or other immediate relatives could still be around and it would be unfair and intrusive to post details on an open site.
I know my elderly mother would object if her personal circumstances were broadcast to the world at large
and she is a couple of years older than your Edward.
If you have a digital image of the certificate and wish assistance then use the Personal Message system and we can exchange e-mail addresses. That way confidentiality can be maintained.
