SMALLPOX

Post by wini » Wed Dec 13, 2006 5:26 am

I haven't googled this so I might get the answer there but I am sure one of the Historians can tell me.
I was looking at the DC of a relative in Kilmuir in Skye in1872.
I got the wrong one of course. Out of 2 I picked the wrong one first.
I noticed that there was 2 children on this DC who died of smallpox. ages 9 and 10
The same uncle signed the DC's so it was at least in one family

My question after the rambling is: How prevalent was Smallpox in Skye around 1872

Interesting results.
