Hi All
Came across this when looking for info on Police History, thought it might be of interest
http://www.policememorial.org.uk/Home.htm
Hope I've entered it correctly.
Anyone know of any good sites where I might research Railway History, especially the building of railways as I've a big family of stone masons- from 1860 - 1920 ish- who moved all over the country, Scotland, England, Wales & Ireland and they seemed to be working on the building of railways (methinks bridges).
Yours

For railway history, have a look at: http://www.railscot.co.uk/railways.htm for detailed descriptions of line and station opening and closing dates plus more.
