Hi everybody I was quite surprised to receive an email from GCC about my grandparents (lair number 210) Riddrie Cemetery.
That was pretty good service so I am
If there is anybody who may visit Riddrie Cemetery and could take a photo of this lair I would be grateful
Regards Jim Wilson

Hi Jim,
Do you have a note of which Section this grave is in?
Each Section had hundreds of graves, so this info would be needed to do a search.

Hi Jim,
I went along to Riddrie today but couldn't find a stone listing your grandparents.
Sorry!
Anne
P.S. I'll try and get back mid-week as there's an office on-site and with a bit of luck someone will be able to give me a hand to find the exact location of the Lair - stone or no stone.

Anne Thanks for the information. I cannot say that a stone was put there.
Contact person at the cemetery is Mr W Gray 0141 634 2122 and if you give him several days notice, he will arrange for you to be shown where the grave is
My Kind regards Jim

Great stuff Jim - I'll keep a note of it.
Strangely enough, there's a CWGC burial in the same Section which I can't find either. I know the man is definately buried in Riddrie Park but every now and again, the Grave References listed on the CWGC database are a bit wonky so I'll make enquiries about him at the same time.
Anne
P.S. Do you want a photo of the general area even if there isn't a stone?

Any photo would be good.
the database you were in would that show you anything in regards to my mothers parents her mother Agnes Guthrie Hunt b 8/8/1867 D 24/3/1936
Andrew Young b6/12/1870 D approx 1940 and they both lived at 26 Abercromby Street Glasgow i have no idea which cemetery they would be in
Any suggestion to find out the facts please let me know
Jim
