Hi Maggie
Well done, you got there in the end! =D>
(..and so did a lot of other folk who are permanent residents there now! )
Remarkable that from "somewhere in Scotland" you now have a location. Gives hope to all of us with photos of unidentified places in photos.

Best wishes
Lesley

Hi Maggie,

Do you mind me asking how you found out it was Bannockburn?

If you like, PM me with the details of the people buried there, along with the Section & Lair No., and I'll try and get you an up-to-date photo.

Anne

Hello Anne
no i don't mind in the slightest
I had a look up done at NRH for the date of death and then contacted Stirling library to see if they had copies of local newspapers and explained that i was after finding details of an obituary if one did indeed exist
i found out it was Bannockburn thanks to the very kind lady who i spoke to by telephone who is the local history officer at Stirling library almost instantly i had a verbal description of his obituary, and then comes the icing on the cake the postman delivered a copy of the lair inhabitants she went out of her way to find it for me for which i am really gratefull .
As to your very kind offer a pm is on it's way
kindest regards
maggie
