Nice to see that map Davie, I've rellies who were in Clyde Street in 1841 too.

Hi Muriel,
Was it the Port Dundas Clyde Street?
I have the PO directory for 1841 and only one name shows up, the other addresses are factories.
There were 5 Clyde Streets in the city.
It is usually only tradesmen and high hiedyins that get a mention.

Greetin's oan this guys,
And again, frae a glorious super sunny Glesga mornin'
I just received a dvd of Glasgow, with a wee clip taken from the other side of what would have been Clyde steet.
From the canal bank.
Some of the punters who view TS do not post, and one of them was Geordie, who kindly sent me the dvd "History of Glasgow".
I thought I had all six of the Video/dvds on the city, it appears there are seven.
Really pleased wey this wee gift
