Hi,
I am trying to find out some details of the Bell family that lived and died in Troon Aryshire. I know that there is about 6/8 people in Lair 179 in Troon but that is all I really know. There is Andrew Bell, and Susan Bell. There may be some more but I dont have the details.
Is there anyone that can help me please?
Thanks

I've spent a bitterly cold hour looking for your folk without success. I think you need to find out where the lair is situated as the cemetery is a fair size. Otherwise it will be a job for better weather !!
The only one I found was for an Andrew Rennie Bell but no details except that he died 19/10/1966 aged 72

Hi Scottscott
The cemetery looks pretty large!

Perhaps Troon Registration Office might be able to give you more details about who is in the lair.
See:
http://www.south-ayrshire.gov.uk/community/cemeteries/
and
http://www.south-ayrshire.gov.uk/commun ... fices.aspx
Certainly worth contacting them as they may not only be able to tell you the exact location, but very often also who is bured there - sometimes there is no grave stone, but the lair record holds all the details, or sometimes, even if there is a stone, not everyone buried in the lair is mentioned on the stone. Good luck with your research.
Best wishes
Lesley
