Galashiels cemeteries

Post by MaryS » Fri Apr 04, 2008 3:51 pm

Does anyone have a copy of the following publications and can tell me what type of records they contain?

Galashiels Burial Records 1762-1788
Galashiels- Gala Aisle Memorial Inscriptions

I'm looking for a Mather relative who as far as I know was Presbyterian and died prior to 1850 in Galashiels. I can not find a record of his death and am looking to see what cemetery/burial information is available that might help me.

Thank you.

Hello MaryS

They were published by Nigel Hardie of Selkirk Genealogy.

It might be worthwhile contacting him if nothing turns up here.
