Who do I need to contact?

Post by wini » Tue Sep 09, 2008 10:47 am

I know my grandmother was buried in Cathcart Cemetery in 1947.
Who do I need to contact for information on who else may be buried beside her? Her husband died in 1913 and was in the Police Force.
I have no idea of lair numbers or anything like that, just dates of both their deaths.

Thanks wini

Hi wini,

I don't know whether you're a member of Rootschat?

There are umpteen threads about Cathcart and there's folk quite happy to go looking for graves.

Have a look:

or

As Wilma says though, if you were to get in touch with the Cemetery Rocords in Glasgow, they should be able to give you info regarding Sections/Lair No's. etc. (Providing you're not in a hurry as they've been known to take their time - speaking from experience!!)
