Try Clydebank or Dumbarton Library they may have them in Archive or I would try West Dumbartonshire Council -if my memory serves me well the Cemeteries Section is Roseberry Place Clydebank.
Try them here http://www.west-dunbarton.gov.uk/environment/
If you want a picture of a grave let me know- I am happy to have a trawl through when I'm up -I haven't been for years & there are lots of rellies I could do with visiting&taking a wee snap of.
My Great-Grandparents & Great Aunt/Uncle are buried here.

Hi Joette,

Thanks for the link - i am sure my rellies are in Kilbowie Cemetery as they lived in the Kilbowie Road area. Looking at the link you gave me it says the Kilbowie Cemetery was opened in 1897 so Jane McFarlane should be there she died in 1901, her husband James died in 1898 so he should be there also. They both lived in Kilbowie Gdns at the time of their deaths.

I will contact the library to find out how i can get confirmation and then get back to you re your kind offer.

Thanks,

Ailsa

What was their religion & where were they born?
Sad to say what religion you were often decided where you were buried.
Also if they had a connection with their hometown & it wasn't too far they might have gone home to be buried.

Hi Joette.

They were both protestant and James was born in Partick, Glasgow - Jane in Ireland. Would this make a difference to where they were buried ?
