John Bruce & Janet Reid - Logie Pert Cemetery Look Up Pl

Post by darylrodger » Fri Apr 03, 2009 8:57 pm

Hi,

I was hoping someone could help me with this request :roll: .

I'm trying to locate my Bruce ancestors who came from Logie Pert, Angus.
Their names are;

John Bruce b. 1750/60 ?
Janet Reid

Their children were;

Katherine
b. 23 May 1779

David
b. 12 Sept 1782

Andrew
b. 29 Mar 1786

William
b. 1788

All were born in Logie Pert.

Does anyone know which cemetery they might be buried in ?

Thanks,

Daryl

Hi Daryl
Have you tried a search on SP on the new OPR deaths & burials to see if any familiar names turn up?

Best wishes
Lesley

Hi Daryl,

This website has information on the cemeteries in Angus and a lot of other good information on searching for relatives in this area:

http://www.dundeeroots.com/angusparish.htm

Also, the OPR deaths and burials have one burial for a John Bruce in 1801 in Logie Pert and 2 for Katherine Bruce in 1792 or 1799. You're on your own to view the OPR's!

Ancestry.com has David Bruce born about 1781 living in Montrose with his family. He is a high loom weaver.

Do you know anything else about the people whom you are looking for? Depending on their occupations, marriages, etc. they could be scattered to the winds and buried just about anywhere.

Carol :D
Looking for: Clerihew, Longmuir/Longmore, Chalmers, Milne, Barclay in Newhills,
Munro, Cadenhead, Raitt, Ririe/Reary
