Post by crayspond » Mon Jun 08, 2009 3:40 pm

Hi to all at SP,

If anyone is living in Clydebank and is going to the Kilbowie cemetery in the near future i would appreciate a look out for any of the following:

James McFarlane died 1898
Jane McFarlane died 1904

William Ferguson Rankin died 1925

Alexander Duncam Hardie died 1920
Agnes Hardie died 1934

Thanks in advance,

Ailsa

Do you know if they are there ? It is possible to get lair nos from Cemeteries Dept which I think is Roseberry Place Clydebank.
Would you like me to call there when next I am home?

Hi Joette,
That would be appreciated if you have the time - i have no idea if they are there but i am sure some of them will be.

Agnes and Alexander were living at Dumbarton Rd Dalmuir at the time of their deaths.
James and Jane McFarlane were living at Kilbowie Rd

William Ferguson Rankin was at Kilbowie Rd also.

Thanks,
Ailsa

Were they RC? Sadly that would have some bearing on where they were buried.
They could be in Old Kilpatrick.Dalnottar(both within walking distance of my Mum's house).
I will check next time I'm home.

Hi Joette,

As far as i know none of them were catholic. I think as they lived so close to the Kilbowie cemetery that is where they would be buried. I have no idea what size it is.
