Hi everyone

Just stumbled across this thread. When I was researching my maternal line of "Brown" I found the headstone. There was enough information to hand to convince me that Robert Brown is my ancestor. My gg grandfather was his son and he moved to Neilston, Renfrewshire and died there. He had a family and one his sons, William, was my ggrandfather- his grave is in Neilston cemetery. He had two sons and a daughter, Archie, John and Jessie none of whom were especially long lived, Archie (my grandfather) died aged 68 in 1968, John died in Australia in 1959 in his 50s and Jessie died at the age of 37. There is no family story of the orphans that has survived to this generation but some of the names mentioned in the htread are ones that I have stumbled across. Happy to make contact by email to explore this further if it helps.
