Hello dimac,
Did you ever look at that burial record in the OPRs? Was it the correct person? I made a note of checking it when I was in Edinburgh a few weeks ago, but didn't realize that the death OPRs were not yet on the computer system at the Scotland's People Centre, although they are on the internet site. So I never got to check it and I have been very curious!
For those of you who didn't follow the other thread, here is the link:

Have you checked out the information on GENUKI for Perth? http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/sct/PER/index.html
All the best,
Sarah

Just found this video of the Kilspindie kirkyard-- have you seen it? Didn't see May's stone, however...

Re: Kilspindie MI's Perth Scotland
Thanks Sarah for the video clip. Mac also send me a photo of Church & graveyard.
I haven't joined Scotlands People as I belong to so many FHS at the moment.
May Mill you found there does sound like it could be her. Did it say anything
about wife of John MacLachlan, mother of John, Ann, May, William & James
when you looked at it please?
Thank you,
DiMac

Re: Kilspindie MI's Perth Scotland
Hi DiMac,
I haven't actually seen it, as it would cost me credits to do so also. I just played with the search function, narrowing down the search until I saw exactly what the index said. This unfortunately won't allow me to see the image! As I said, I was hoping to have a look while I was in Edinburgh, but found that the OPR death records are not yet on the computers at the Scotland's People Centre and I didn't have time to get the microfilm and check it there.
You could order the film at your local LDS Family History Centre and have a look there. If you do a place search in the Family History Library Catalog at FamilySearch.org for Kilspindie, it will show you which films they have. I believe this is the one you need:
FHL BRITISH Film 1040191 Items 1 - 2
Baptisms, 1804-1854; Marriages, 1788-1854; Burials, 1789-1854.
You might find other family members while scrolling through!
By the way, it doesn't cost to join Scotland's People as it isn't a subscription site. It only costs if you want to download the images or see the search results. This is why we on Talking Scot can search at no cost to help people out and point people in the right direction to find the certificates they are looking for, but we can't see the actual certificates unless we pay for them.
All the best,
Sarah

Re: Kilspindie MI's Perth Scotland
Thanks muchly Sarah for more details espec. re Scotlands People. Well worthwhile paying credits if one feels
they may get further ahead.
Will do as you suggest & go to Christchurch LDS Family Society next time I go there.
Thanks also for the correct film to order....will let you know if I have any breakthru's. Don't go in very often so
won't be immediately.
Was on Hugh Wallis Fam search this am & found a Christian McLauchlan who married in 1824 Cargill Perth which
suggests to me Marjerie more than likely was working in Cargill otherwise she would most probably have got
married there instead of Coupar Angus, as she also married in 1824 or least that's when their banns were read.
You have all been a tremendous help in my rethinking the couples lives. Thank you.
Warm regards & best wishes,
Di
