Monceggie, Keithhall, Aberdeenshire

Hi all,

I just found an OPR death for a William Ririe, 1828, who died in Peterculter, but was interred in "the burial ground of Monceggie, Keithhall". Has anyone ever heard of Monceggie? I'm finding nothing on Google. I'm guessing that this might have been a farm or estate maybe?

The Peterculter death OPR's are wonderful if this one is the usual! Beautiful script and lots of details!

Thanks Jen!

That helps. Now I know that Monceggie and Keithhall were the same place. Unfortunately, that also means that my relative has once again eluded me! I have the ANESFHS MI booklet for Keithhall and Kinkell and not a single Ririe shows up in it. Guess that means no gravestone again. Sigh!
