Hello there,
I am looking to see if anyone has information on Cullen or Barnes buried in the Dumbarton Bridgend Churchyard, or Dumbarton Cemetery. Dates would be from 1860 - 1929.
Thanks very much
Cullen or Barnes

Hi Dibit
I think you might need a little more detail, like forenames and other family names to catch people's eye. Unfortunately most of the Mitchell recordings are for pre-1855 burials although some later burials have been included.
Does anyone out there have access to the book which covers Dumbarton cemeteries

That would probably come under West Dumbartonshire Council & I think the Cemeteries Office is in Roseberry Place Clydebank.
I do know that there is a large family vault in Old Kilpatrick cemetery to the Barnes family-it's the Barnes of perhaps Cochno(which is a local area) but my memory is a bit fuzzy. It's what I suppose would be a mausoleum with a large monument.
Lots of my family are buried here & I have my plot bought there too. I visit at least annually.I'll be up there (Scotland) tomorrow
but only in Dalmuir for a couple of days.
Barnes always stuck in my head as my GGGGreat-Grandmother was a Barnes although she came from Ayrshire.
