A quick question re burials

Post by ladybird » Mon Nov 20, 2006 9:16 pm

Before I spend more money on SP credits looking for a marriage.

Is it possible that a woman would be buried with her Grandfather (in law) under her maiden name?

I have John Jeffrey buried Southern Necropolis 1848 aged 57 and with him is Elizabeth Robertson buried 1929 age 81.

I have found a John Jeffrey (possibly grandson?? of John Snr) and Elizabeth Robertson, wife, on the 1871 census in Glasgow. This Elizabeth would be about the right age for the one who is buried.

Sorry another quick question...is it much of a jump from Iron Moulder as a teenager to Miner as an adult?

Wouldn't be unusual at all. My Grandmother is buried under her maiden name, wife of...

As to the occupation. Got another rellie who started out as a shoemaker apprentice, but finished up as a plasterer. In fact, if it hadn't been for another TS member pointing me to him, I'd probably have passed him by.

A QUICK QUESTION RE BURIALS

Post by wini » Wed Nov 22, 2006 5:31 am

No mary,

What is worse is you only have one thing to check and you are left with 25 Credits which expire before you can use them sensibly, you then buy another 30 credits, use 10 and you then have 45 expired credits.

I suppose I will have to get myself organised before I start again

Have you had a look at Pandabean's Excel spreadsheet package? The certificate checklist is just one of a brilliant set of forms. You can see at a glance which ones you still have to find.
