That's good,
just out of curiosity what was her usual address and who was the informant?.

Ancestry , I think, had BT phone books for that era, so you could perhaps use that to trace when they moved to that address, to narrow down their movements.

Ancestry's phone books go up to 1984.

Thanks to you both for that. I have been back in touch with Christina,the daughter, and she tells me the family did move back to Scotland in July 1975 then returned to Canada in June 1978. May be they came back for her mother as she had breast cancer and died in Dec 1975. (Christina would only have been 11 when her mother died). You asked for her usual residence when she died - it was Ardenlea, Thomson Ave, Johnston.
I will have a look at the Bt directories as I hadn't even thought of them as a help in family history research!
