Hi Joette & All

Another good source would be contemporary fiction of the time. For example Jane Austin wrote contemporary fiction, but what she wrote gives us a glimpse of what life might be like for her time period. While her characters were made up, the general life style like the roads, clothing were not.

Was there a Scottish Jane Austin?
