I found this a fascinating book.
'A new prehistory of Britain and Ireland from ice-age hunter gatherers to the vikings as revealed by DNA analysis.'
It is a scientific detective story combining genetics, linguistics, archaeology, and historical records.
A very plausible hypothesis.
I even bought it, and I am not selling it.

Hello Sheila,
I do that all the time. I miss the information in the subject heading because it’s in smaller print right out of the way right at the top with the date and because my eyes aren’t what they used to be and never were. I usually repeat the subject if necessary in the body of the post so that it is more obvious.

There’s a Wikipedia article on the subject and Oppenheimer’s research here.

As I enjoyed "Blood of the Isles" which is in a similair vein (no pun intended!) will look out for this one.
The "Blood of the Isles" was spot on with lots of my genetic history & made sense of my very all over Scotland family tree.
