Hi Geoff

I'm actually in Kilbarchan so I took a quick look at the records I had for the Kilbarchan East Church, which was a United Free Church at that time and there were no Mitchells or Harpers in evidence in the Lair records at least. I would think it fair to assume that they were members of the Established Church of Scotland then as the other Church (Currently called West Church) was the original parish church.
I haven't found any other records so far for the family names but I'll keep looking.
