I've checked the Falkirk Library catalogue:

Airth Parish burials pre-1855 is available in Larbert Library as a reference volume
and they also have a copy of Calatria No. 13 that has the Airth section of the Graveyard survey.

I don't think I'll be able to get over there today to check them though - from the look of the sky and the forecast, venturing off the Braes might not be too wise

Likewise Anne, venturing too close to the old kirk could be foolhardy - if the jungle doesn't get you then the masonary will!

I've decided to head over in the Lennoxtown direction today to have a rake about Campsie & Clachan of Campsie - whether it snows or not.

Well, today was a beautiful morning, so what better plan could there be, than to go raking around some old graveyards.

I've been meaning to go along to Airth Castle for yonks, so ........

Up beside the main hotel building (to the left), a lot of the 'shrubbery' has been cleared allowing a view of the old Churchyard. There's Heras fencing around it but only half a dozen sections, so, (just between you and I peeps) I just happened to find myself, completely un-intentionally of course, in the Churchyard. When I say 'in' the Churchyard, I should maybe say 'on the verge' of it. There are waist-high brambles which are impossible to get through so the 'no-access' rule applies whether or not there's a fence there or not!

A few stones are visbile, but I think a suit of armour would be required to get near any of them.

I'm wondering if this is maybe the beginning of a clear-up?

Anyone heard anything?
