I have some Polish friends who visited Glasgow for the first time recently.
The highlight of their stay was the kilted bagpipe player outside Central station.
When I told them what he was not likely wearing underneath they were gobsmacked.

It's a video from a few years ago by a Stevan Hogg (don't know if that's one of my rellies!). It's somewhere on YouTube but I have it as an email attachment so can only attach it to an email...sorry about that!

Is this the video? You should all be ashamed of yourselves. Poor young fellow, up a ladder, innocently carrying out his everyday duties, and being exploited by all around him. The way things are heading I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if some of those people came back for a second hold of the ladder. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kx-4Llb56Y4

This one’s better. What part of Scotland does she come from?

Many year ago my sisters went home for a holiday and brought me back the Old Johnstone tartan. My girls enjoyed wearing it when they grew into it ( they were much younger then me when they wore it and for a much shorter time lol) Finally it was my son Robins turn. We asked him if he would let us take him to the photographer for a picture in the kilt for his gran. he said yes if he could wear his shorts on the bus and put the kilt on over them when he got there. So of we went Rob my sister and myself. The people in the studio loved his costume and he decided to have a wee look round the toy section before leaving the mall while wearing his kilt. Everyone loved it. He next asked if he could wear it on the bus home. No problem. Bonus he stood to allow a senior a seat and it was like riding a surf board in a kilt. When we got home he asked if he could show his friends his Kilt. No problem. He wore that sucker for 2 days. when asked "what a scots lad wears under his kilt" Rob was more than happy to show them. His swim trunks. His auntie used photoshop to pop him in front of Edinburgh Castle. he has a copy in his room and loves it.

That's the one, Alan. You are so good at finding things...I looked for ages!!

The other one must be from the 'Auld Alliance", or should that be the 'New Alliance'?...cute, but I prefer the other one. :D

That reminded me somewhere on my brother's wedding video there's a shot of my brother slipping on the dance floor in his kilt.I could blackmail him for years with the threat of "You Tubing" it!
