"Nackles Linch" I would suspect is Michael Lynch & yes I have been practising in my best Belfast accent!

Yes, I thought Nicholas as well - 'Nack' for the 'Nich' and 'les' for the 'olas'. Think of it being said like Jack Nicklaus' surname!
