That's odd because I just checked SP for a female Todd birth in Greenock in 1865 and 2 came up. Then I checked for a forename of *ter and all was well. Kept adding letters at the end and ended up with Vilatter, as written. So don't know why it didn't work for you :?

Can't find her death though...

Hi Sarah,

I went back and checked again making sure that I had the female box checked and it came up this time.

Violetta! Pretty name, but I wouldn't have thought of it. Wonder if James died too or, as you suggested before, went to Ireland with his grandparents?

Hello Mark

This is a bit of a belated response to your post earlier in the year but I've only just found it and the Talking Scot site. I'm not sure that I can add very much to all the info the others posted after you enquired about Annie Todd earlier in the year- but she was my great grandmother and it's good to know that someone else is interested in her and her family too!

I've been trying to find out more about them on and off over the last few years when I've had the time - I'll look through all the things I have found out and see if I can add anything else for you - but most of the information posted looked fairly familiar so I'm not sure I have much to add, although I think I did track down Humphrey and Ann's marriage in Armagh. I had realised the family must have left Scotland but hadn't tracked them down to Liverpool so thanks to all for this info!

Best wishes

Sue
