Sarah

Contrary to that song by the Rolling Bones you do often get what you want and wish for. And your premonition about a new member from South Australia, well what can I say, any tips on the horses or lottery numbers

Sarah

Oh I forgot to haud ma weesht

Glad you got someone from SA online now and she is willing to help you.
Not long ago, I linked up with a distant cousin in Scotland, and now have about 4/5 4th cousins I am in contact with. But I digress a bit, one of my distant rellies payed me a nice compliment regarding my family history, she said I had done well considering I am so far away. Sometimes the tyranny of distance is less of a barrier in this global age :D

Hi Sarah

I went to West Terrace Cemetery today to try to find the grave .
It is a very large place , without the road number I would never find it.
Planned to go to the office to ask, but it was closed.

Do you have the road number?

Take care

Brenda

No Sarah, while tempted to make a bit of pin money, I decided I was too much of a scaredy-cat to tinker with the spirit world  All the neighbours think the misunderstanding was a good laugh, and seemed relieved I'd not be summoning anything other-worldly

Hi Brenda,

All I have is what I gave at the beginning of the post, i.e. Rd./Area 1-2 Path 18w. No idea how large an area corresponds to that... Maybe a phone call to the office would find out whether or not that area is accessible and if they have more detailed information for finding the grave? I hate to have you go there for nothing.
Thanks so much for trying! :D
Sarah

P.S. Admin: could someone change Brenda's email address above so she doesn't get harvested by the spammers? Thanks :D

Hi Sarah,

I found the grave yesterday and took some photos. [ Had to dodge huge ants nests to get to it  ]
Unfortunately the inscription is very difficult to read and does not show up well on the photos.
Do you want me to post them here, or to your email address?

Thanks so much Brenda! :D
I hope you dodged all the ant nests successfully! You deserve a medal for valor :D Unless people want to see the photos, it would probably be best to send them to my email. I'll PM you the address.
Thanks again! Please let me know if I can do anything in exchange. Any long losts in the U.S. by chance?!
All the best,
Sarah

You're more than welcome Sarah. No, I don't have any "long losts" in the States, they're all over Scotland, Ireland and Italy!
