In Search of might be no 33 GainBraid St in the Districk of Maryhill glasgow last known address of Alexander and Mary Dewar in 1911 census

I think it will be Gairbraid Street John.

Yes I think I miss read it or my glasses were dirty (my excuse) the number I was looking for was 337

As the street renamed all the numbers will be different too.
however I found this on a 'google'

339-41 Gairbraid Street was later 991-99 Maryhill Road at Oran Street

So I'd suggest that the house you are looking for would have been on Maryhill Road about opposite Sandfield Street.
They are new buildings ther,e the old tenements having been demolished at some stage.

Thanks Wilma,I didn't think they would still exist I am slowly tracing there footsteps around the World they seem to be a industrious lot(Bakers,Slater,Fancy Box Makers,Book Pager,Plumber,Joiner and a student at 18.
