It may be that your mail provider has a level of spam filtering that has taken the message out because of the bulk mailing list. In which case you would never see the message.momat wrote:My email set up rejects most spam, although the strangest things do get through

Re: That other genealogy site
Greetings All.
Re missing emails. Group mailings not being received because of the tightening SPAM filters, became such a problem here in NZ, that the NZ Genealogical Society in it's magazine, Sept/Oct 2009 devoted a page [212] to the problem, and advised members how to go about checking their SPAM filter file for held back material, in some of our larger provider's systems. It's an issue that continues with committee members complaining that they have not received agendas for meetings etc, on several committees to which I belong.
At times my group BCC mailings of family history research findings, do got get to all intended recipients. Part of that may be, because of my single word XXXXXXXXXXX @ research address, which I obtained before I started research into Russia in 2000. What did surprise me, was to be told at Church recently, by a member, that an email direct from me to him, enquiring about the existence of an old photo, he found in a periodic clean out of his SPAM folder.
In essence, if with your provider, there is a way to check what has been held back, you may find something important in the trash.
