I have now found a website for Canna Primary School, which shows the different churches on the island. The school role is now up to three according to one of the webpages there, and the teacher no longer lives in the school - a separate house is now provided.

All the best,

That was interesting !! When I was there, I seemed to remember being told there were 2 churches and a monastery on the island but I was beginning to question my memory as none of you mentioned it. However I see on the school site there is a nunnery !! Amazing isn't it for such a small island ? !

And sharks, Thrall, great

Feeling I Belong

Post by Clarebelle » Sun Jul 30, 2006 5:14 pm

I live in Victoria Australia many years ago I visited Tasmania and had this weird feeling of belonging. It puzzled me for many years and wanted to go back for a vistit. When I started my family history research I discovered by GGrandparents were convicts and lived in the area I visited. I am waiting to go over again and find the house they lived in.
