Hmm...just maybe, following this train of thought in a vaguely logical manner (well, as logical as I can manage at this time of night) we should all stop researching our own families at once and research someone else's. Maybe then there would be no brick walls....

...well, it was just a thought

Best wishes
Lesley

And a very sensible thought, not in the least bit illogical, when you think about it.

Face it - how many times have people come racing back on here with a solution to other people's brick walls?

Anyone up for a swap?

Amazing how the morning flies by, isn't it? It's often only a vague uneasiness that someone might drop by, that finally gets me dressed (laptop quickly replaced on lap afterwards, of course 8) ) Speaking of which... I think I'll just run over to the bedroom and slip something on before I check what looks like it could be a possible half-cousin of my 2nd great grandmother

If I know there are things to do - washing, gardening, etc - I have to discipline myself not to turn the computer on, otherwise I know I'll be there for hours. I finish work at 1.30pm and, of course, am first home, so the first thing I do when I get home is go on the computer, so that I've had a chance to do something before hubby comes home and wants to do some work. As for cooking, well, forget it!

tangents

Post by Bertha » Sun Oct 08, 2006 3:00 pm

I can admit to the bathrobe until lunchtime this week, have been on hols with lots of plans but ended up in my wee room keying away like mad and still being their at bedtime!.
As for tangents, this week, my husbands second cousin gave me the task of finding out about their family. EASY!! I wish my lot were as easy, (mind you it took 90 credits to get them), but have gone back about 4 generations within hours on both their gr grandparents. Now because of this, we have a wee mystery to solve and if I don't solve it with a visit into NRH, I shall be asking the genealogical detectives on here.
Even today, I can't keep away from it all and doing researching in between cooking etc.
Happy Tangents to all
