The username change is an admin function. On this version of forum software it can be made public for the user to change, but we have kept with the default setting of it as an admin function.Adam Brown wrote:Does this forum allow users to change their login name and still keep all their posts, avatars etc? I have had a look in the user control panel and there isn't a function there but I'd imagine it would be an admin function anyway.
You have answered your own question correctly. Show your posts shows every post made. View your posts shows every thread you have posted in. So if you have contributed three times in a thread, you will get three results in show your posts and one result in view your posts.Adam Brown wrote:On the banner if I click on 'User Control Panel' and then 'Show your posts' I can see all the posts I have made. However if I click on the 'View your posts' link on the banner I only see about half my posts. Can you explain the difference between a 'show' and a 'view'?
The forum links created in the past couple of months are to the temporary forum address http://www.talkingscot.com/forum2 - that forum is no longer active. These links will be sought out and edited to bring them back into line with the new permanent address http://www.talkingscot.com/forum.
All the best,
