Hi Russell
Sorry about being so late with my BIG thankyou. I had a grand time. It was a joy to meet you and the Admin group and have time to have a good chat with each. Your efforts on our behalf were much appreciated. I took away a good few hints about how to lay out a readable, interesting and all inclusive family tree for future generations from your "Oman Family" treasure.
Thanks so much.

Re: TS Seminar in Kilbarchan Saturday 11th October.
Glad you enjoyed it Lorna. I was delighted, to put it mildly, to meet folks and have a good blether. I enjoyed setting things up because it made me think of what the priorities might be for a budding genealogist. I was actually relieved that not too many people were able to come along as it gave us more time to chat properly. I think everyone enjoyed the day.
By the way my wife is the expert at setting out our records and between us we have another 14 lever arch files of certificates, poorhouse records, census returns, maps, burial ground plans etc, etc, etc. so plan for storage space.

So nice to meet you, Lorna, after all this time! Interesting when one knows more about someone's ancestors than one does about the present generations!

There are also ancestors with whom you'd love to talk with for hours, which doesn't always translate to present day.

Your so right Frances. I have a great great uncle who was a GP and worked with Lister on antisepsis, who upped sticks and went to Malta around the time they were experiencing a Cholera epidemic. I would love to know what his thinking was. Couldn't have been financial surely
