Ancestry has Ro as Re and a male coal miner. I printed out Elizabeth's page by accident. What was the father's name? Don't see him anywhere on this census.

Yes...that's my Allan's! Thanks for taking a look. :)

I'm thinking the father, John was deceased just shortly before the 1841 census with the mother and at least one child dying a few weeks later (I'm hoping I have the correct OPR deaths for them).

SP has a question mark after the name Rich? so there must have been a little confusion with the names. Actually, Rich was probably the daughter, Elizabeth who would have just turned 10 yrs in March.

I've managed to find quite a bit on John, James and David but nothing on the female Robert, Elizabeth (Rich?) or Janet, or for that matter, Peter the oldest boy who wasn't on the 1841 with them.

I will continue to look and might find something one of these odd years. :wink:

With those abbreviations on top of the usual transcription errors, I'm surprised that you've gotten anywhere with them! :o

I just discovered that my 3x Cadenhead great grandfather was really a George instead of a William and had a daughter named Daly. :shock: Surprisingly, there are quite a few kids named Daly out there in the early 1800's. It's a new one on me for a first name!

That is surprising, Carol. I've never heard of the christian name 'Daly' but have known people with Daly as their surname.

We learn all sorts of things doing this, don't we? :)
