Merlot

Just make sure that the Captain's table has a phone socket. The whole ship can join in if they like!

It's the Ashes Series in Australia. I knew you were a closet Cricketer all along.

I'm checking my calendar for the coming week and noticed I got the 30th circled in red!! Richt....that would be Mercredi Gras!!! (Another name for a TalkingScot excuse to have a wee bit of fun!! ) If you've never been to an online party before you're in for a real treat!! And if you have... then you already know everyone has to bring some snacks to share and their favorite beverage....altho.....rumour has it that our Mesklin has hired in some caterers for this event. A wee bit of pairty gaiety and lots of good cheer is expected from all!! Let's see how many members we can have online at the same time without tipping over!!! See you all on Mercredi!!!

Be very careful on timing this week. The UK has just gone over to DST (Daylight Saving Time) but those parts of the USA that change to DST won't until next weekend.

For this week only EST is -6 hours, and PST is -9 hours on UK time, but it shouldn't really matter as the party will go for longer that 1 hour!!

Mercredi Gras

Post by mesklin » Mon Mar 28, 2005 12:57 pm

IMPORTANT

Due to the possible confusion with times due to Daylight Saving, Greenwich Mean, Universal Time, Rosemary and Thyme, British/US/NZ Summer/Winter time... :-s ... it has been decided that a way must be found to ensure that everybody knows when the party is running.

A way has been found! When the party starts, you will know!

THE WEARING OF SUNGLASSES OR OTHER EYE PROTECTION IS ADVISED!

Dave

Remember! Your seeing-eye guide dog may need welder's googles fitted for the day. See to it NOW!

Hello Ellenavon

Enjoy Barbados! When it's 9pm in Glasgow it should be 4pm in Bridgetown, so a reasonable time to join in the fun.........if you can drag yourself away from the beach.
