Wummin huv been intae bars since they knoccked oot a the wa's and jined up the Bar an the Lounge. The language has gaed doonhill since an aw. Swearie words frae aw directions.
Is that no a tad sexist Russell.
tch tch tch

We even have a ladies toilet in the Georgic noo.
Where will it aw end?
I shortly expect a lassie tae turn up at a ludge meetin, wey her trooser leg rolled up.
The ***** ****** might be interstin’, mind you.
Wini,
I am sure you will be pleased to note that the wives or partners are now "allowed" to attend the Whitehill reunion dinners.
The attendance has dropped dramatically since.
Don’t shoot the messenger.
An fawr be it frae me ta offend oany o’ the fairer sex oan TS.
Whit ah wid like tae know is:
How yeese kin aw chinge beddin’ in three minutes, especially pitttin oan wan o’ yon duvet covers.
There should be a college course on that.
And when yoose come out of the bathroom with yon towel wrapped roon yer napper, a typhoon widnae budge it.
When I try it, ah look like a drunken Iraqi sojer.

I go out every Thursday for lunch, wey three o’ ma chinas .
The Hungry Monk, both in Kilwinning and Gartocharn are regular haunts, also the Duck Bay Marina, owned by the same company.
Always looking for somewhere new.
So if oanywan kin recommend a hostelry within a 30 mile radius of civilization, I would be delighted tae hear frae yoose.
Another wan in Russell’s patch is the Uplawmoor hotel.
We have never had a bad meal in any of the above establishments and none of them are overly expensive.
Usually in the £50-£60 price range for grub and booze and that is for four auld punters, who take a serious swally.

Hello Davie,
Simply put PM is Private Message . As to other places I had the delight of visiting I've forgotten the name of the lovely Pub in Helensburgh but I believe it was The arth Inn . There were quite a few stops at Wetherspoons only 1 really memerable as it was in a refurbished Church complete with pews and choir loft .The food wasn't that special but the track to the loos was quite an experience .My favourite was The Royal in Dunoon as I had with the help of TS just located it in time for my trip home . Seems my 2nd great grandfather had been the owner of the Royal Hotel back in the 1880s and though it had burned in the 1950s the pub which was attached by an annex survived . One of those walking in my ancestors footsteps kind of visits .
There was another place in Fort William which sticks in my mind for its name . The Grog and Gruel . Also a hotel on Arran in Lamlash .
Thanks for the walk down a pleasant memory lane.
All the best,
HeatherH

PS off to find some lunch I find myself hungry all of a sudden .

Hi Davie,

When you send a private message it sits in the "outbox" until the receiver opens it up and then its transfered to the "sent" box. Test it out yourself, send yourself a private message and then go an take a look in your out box.
