Does anyone have access to the Hamilton Combination Poorhouse records?
I am looking for details of
AGNES FALLANS maiden name BURGESS
She died there on 21 January 1893. Her death certificate lists her as AGNES BURGESS married to PATRICK FALLANS.
Would this also be a type of hospital? The certificate states she had paralysis for 2 months.
Thanks for any help.

I transcribed an application of Agnes Fallen nee Burgess today but I've just realised it's not the right lady - how bizzare! As both names are fairly unusual I didn't even think to check her death year.
This lady died in 1880 parents Cormack Burgess and Ann Benson.

Hello Annette
Yes, I already have that record and was convinced for a while that it was the one I was looking for but her husband is listed as James. From the details given I even got her marriage in1855 but on this she is Ann .This is not my couple who I have since found on all the Census records in Blantyre. I did wonder if maybe they were brother and sister of Agnes and Patrick.
I know she was born 26June 1824 in East Kilbride and married 16July 1848 East Kilbride. She died 21 January 1893 in Hamilton Combination Poorhouse and I wondered if that record would give me any more information about her family or her parents.
Thanks for your interest.

Yes Annette, this is the one I have but it's not the right one. Mine died 13 years later and was born in East Kilbride.
