have they gone up in price?

It's been a while since I've ordered one, but I'm sure the last time I did the cert was about £12, I was looking at one I may order, but it's saying the price is now £20.

Prices do not seem to have changed - look like somehow you may have selected priority service perhaps?

There are some 3rd parties who offer to provide English certificates - they add a substantial fee - perhaps you accessed one of these by mistake. If you need a vol/page number and don't have easy access to an index, many folks would be happy to check.

You can also buy from the local district, usually for the same fee of 7 pounds. They don't use the GRO numbers and have the original documents.

Hi All
I have just got a marriage certificate hoping to get some info from and it cost me £27 and was a waste of time because it didn't tell me anything I didn't know English records are rubbish compared to Scottish ones
