Murray and McDonalds

Hi there,
Am looking for information on George Murray and Jessie McDonald who were married and lived in Methven. He ran a farm, she a housewife, they had twelve children Ina, Daisy, John, Netty, George, James, William, Jean, Flora, Violet, Bunty and Grace. Jessie McDonald's fathers name was John McDonald. I am not sure of birthdates for George and Jessie but guess that it would be 1890 to 1900. Have searched scotlands people, ancestry, rootsweb but have such limited information have not had much luck. I would appreciate if anyone had any ideas on where I could search next. Thanks.

Your starting point to help narrow down the birthdates should be the marriage certificate of George and Jessie on the www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk website. You should search for GEORGE MURRAY and J* M*CDONALD. If you leave the dates open for all, this produces four results, of which one stands out as the one to go for. J* allows for both Jessie and the more formal variation Janet, and the other wildcard to allow for the Mc/Mac options.

From that you will find their ages, parents and a middle name that should make George's birth easy to find.
