Lookup - Paisley monumental inscriptions

Post by fw348 » Sat Jan 12, 2008 1:22 am

Hello

I am researching Wark's from the Paisley area. I would be really grateful if anyone who has access to Paisley's monumental inscriptions could look this surname up for me.

Many Thanks

Hi

Although I live in the area I'm not in a position to do any look-ups just now but will take a note since I have some Paisley Warks mysel.
they are William Wark married to Jane Divet, Childre Euphemia b circa 1805 and Jane b circa 1813.
Euphemia married James Johnston around 1825.
Don't think they would have any headstones though so we haven't looked yet.

If you happen to be interested in Isabella Wark, wife of George Robertson, mentioned by Sheila I am a descendant and know quite a bit about these Warks.

Hi Westender

Glad you have joined us on TalkingScot.

You made a lot of Canadians very happy with all the MI information you gave me on paisley.org.uk They had to start new pages in their family trees :!:
