Found the death of Isabella Taylor 14th May 1909 Western Infirmary Glasgow and an RCE? Does anyone know what this is about?
William McLachlan, age 14 years May 15th May 1909 Western Infirmary, Glasgow.
I can find no association between Isabella Taylor m.s Mason and young William.

Re: My first RCE
Hi Lizzie,
All the best,
Sarah
You mean that the above was all that was written on the RCE? Sounds almost as if they were inserting another death that should have been on the page, rather than an explanation of the circumstances of Isabella's death as one would expect. Maybe worth a query to Scotland's People?Lizzie wrote: William McLachlan, age 14 years May 15th May 1909 Western Infirmary, Glasgow.

I've come across this before at GROS, where an RCE index entry is wrongly ascribed to an original entry. Does the original death entry have RCE written in the left hand column? If so, they've linked the wrong RCE image to yours. If you found it at GROS, and only the death index on DIGROS has mention of an RCE, then it is probably a mistake in the index. Definitely worth querying in either event.

Hi Lizzie
As far as I remember, with three deaths to the page, an RCE button will show for the whole page i.e. for any of the three deaths. First thing to do its check the death of the person you are looking for and only if it has an indication in the left margin that there is an RCE for that death would you then go ahead and download the associated RCE.
On the page, is there an indication that the death you were interested in has an RCE or is William McLachlan one of the other deaths mentioned on the same page?
Best wishes
Lesley

Oh so true & if it's an area where a lot of your rellies come from you oft times find "two for the price of one"
I have found eg the marriage of my Granny & Grandpa had the remarriage of my Aunt's grandfather underneath.
