Can somebody please tell me exactly where this is? I Googled it, but only my own research has come back to me. Appreciate it.

What document does this place name appear on? Does it have any clues, such as a parish or county name?

Hi Skipscott:

I went to Google Earth and entered Auchincross, Scotland and in response, it gave Auchincross, New Cumnock, Cumnock, East Ayrshire KA18 UK 41 miles south of Glasgow.

At http://www.mapquest.co.uk I chose the United Kingdom and entered the postal code KA18 which gave me a map.
