Help with deciphering, please

Just wondering if anyone can make out the occupation - ??? manager and the cause of death on the cert I uploaded to the gallery for John Stein Black 1944.
There is also an RCE for him that I can't make out either.

RCE cause of death says

John Stein Black 79 years male
1.15 am on 19th February 1944, 4a Dundas Street, Edinburgh
Burns of face trunk and left arm and shock following thereon.

Looks like you were just in a mood to spell Englisch as if it were Deutsch :lol:
As a warped phonetician, this doesn't bother me at all-- I get in those moods sometimes too :lol:

Sarah, before Talking Scot was around someone posted an item on the Scotland's People Discussion board about German taking over English - I must see if I can find where I saved that and post it here - it was quite funny at the time!
