Churchyards Moulin, Perthshire

Post by dimac » Mon May 04, 2009 5:25 am

I am looking for MacLachlans/McLauchlans etc...different versions of the spelling who are buried in Moulin..over the bridge from Dunkeld, Perthshire.

Any information greatly appreciated.

Di, Canterbury, New Zealand.

ps: Hope to stay in Moulin 2010.. can anyone kindly fill me in on good B&B's or Hotels there.

Thankyou in anticipation :?: :)

Hi Di
What date range are you looking for? If before 1855, there are some published MIs:

There is also a book held by the LDS library, not sure if it is the same content - you could perhaps enquire if it is possible to order from your local LDS:

Hi

I have stayed in the Moulin Inn which was great, good food, fantastic bar, very comfortable - they are at Moulininn.co.uk (now I think called Moulin Hotel).

Cheers

Researching Johnston(e), Fleming, Bell, Gray, Inches, Hay, Glendinning, Scott, mostly in Edinburgh Canongate 1830 - 1950, but Johnston (e) from Moffat in 1800s, and Fleming from Strathaven in 1830s.

Thank you very much Lesley for your great help. There are some before 1855 & should be more after that date.

Much appreciated,
Di NZ

There are four headstones in Moulin Kirkyard that mention McLauclans. I'll send you a PM.
